MightyText is a web-based app, and will work with Windows, Mac, Linux or Chrome OS. MightyText is the Android version of messages.
If your carrier doesn’t charge you for text messages, then you won’t have to pay a thing for this feature, otherwise the cost to send a text from your computer is the same as from your phone. Your messages will now be synced between your Apple device and your computer, as well as your contacts, meaning any messages sent between you and them should be viewable on your computer. Once your “switch button” displays green, you’re good to go.Activate the feature on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch by going to Settings > Messages then tap ‘Text Message Forwarding’ and select the name of the Mac computer to which you want to forward messages.If not you’ll need to enable text messages on your Mac computer. If you use the same Apple ID for your Apple device and your Mac computer, then this function should work automatically. For Mac users, they have to download Growl notifications. If you have a Mac running operating system Mac OSX 10.10 and a synced up Apple device, such as an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch you are good to go. For them, there is the option of web app which can be downloaded. Apple has made it simple to send and receive text message by computer.
